Advanced Offshore Operations Inc. (AOO) specializes in underwater gliders.

Gliders are long-endurance, deep-diving autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). These highly efficient AUVs utilize small changes in buoyancy & attitude to achieve forward motion to cover long distances.

We are experts in glider mission planning and operations in some of the world’s most challenging sea conditions. We off remote piloting and technical support during our customers’ glider missions.

With over 10 years of glider operation experience, AOO represents several glider-years & tens of thousands of profiles – all without losing a single glider.

Right Whale Study: For this study, AOO designed and carried out an underwater glider mission plan along the shelf break in the mid-Atlantic bight. AOO integrated a passive acoustic monitoring system onto a Seaglider in order to detect vocalizations of North Atlantic right whales.
